Russell Crowe, Ed Helms and Chloe Grace Moretz are each in Atlanta working on assorted movie projects.
Crowe, shown at the right, is here for “The Nice Guys,” with Ryan Gosling. It’s set in 1970s Los Angeles, and concerns a private detective who investigates a porn star’s death, then stumbles onto a conspiracy. Sounds sort of like a noirish thriller along the lines of L.A. Confidential.
Gosling was spotted in Buckhead the other night. He posed for this great photo, nice guy that he is. What do you think of the retro look he is sporting?
Helms, shown here on set, in a snappy tan suit next to Ron Livingston in blue, is here for the “Vacation” reboot. The new take on the 1980s classic stars Helms, an Atlanta native, as grown-up Rusty Griswold who takes the fam for a road trip just like dear ole dad did back in the day.
Vacay 2.0 evidently includes a stop at the old home place, as Helms posted a great photo with Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo the other day. Check it out here.
We’re told Chevy and Beverly played cameo roles and won’t have to stick around for the entire production. But, it looks like they had fun during their time here!
We spoke to her recently during a red-carpet screening of “The Equalizer,” starring Denzel Washington. Check that out here.
