Bobbi Kristina Brown has often referred to Nick Gordon as her “husband,” a designation both sides of her family have disputed as she remains hospitalized following a Jan. 31 medical emergency.
Now Nick seems to be tacitly agreeing with family statements that he and the 21-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown are in fact not legally wed.

A statement from his lawyer to address another matter says Nick “remains in constant prayer for his companion and he hopes to be reunited with her soon.”
Companion, not wife.
Potential wrangling over the pair’s legal designation could have teed up disputes over who is authorized to make medical decisions on her behalf and who could stand to inherit if the worst happens.
There is no marriage license on record for Bobbi Kristina and Nick at Fulton County Probate Court, where such documents are kept on file. Of course there are 158 other counties in Georgia, not to mention the rest of the world, where such a document could have been filed, but they have been living in north Fulton County for several years.
Whitney’s will, also on file at Fulton County Probate Court, states that Bobbi Kristina is her sole heir and her aunt Pat Houston is executor.
It’s unclear whether Bobbi Kristina has a will of her own.
