1-800 Flowers apologizes to outraged Valentine’s customers

Days after customers outraged at the dead, withered or puny arrangements that arrived on Valentine’s Day funneled their fury into a social media trending topic, 1-800 Flowers is apologizing and pledging to make amends

“To Our Valued Customers:

We are truly sorry if you encountered any issues with your Valentine’s order. We’ve delivered hundreds of thousands of smiles this Valentine’s, and if yours wasn’t one of them, we apologize. We know the importance of making someone smile, especially for this holiday, and we will do everything we can to make it right.”

The heartfelt apology posted on the company’s public Facebook page didn’t seem to melt any hearts, if the responses are any guide.

“You all have been doing this for a while now. You all need to find the problem and fix it,” scolded Donna Argentiero.

“Still waiting on your reply. 50% refund for a bundle of twigs is unacceptable,” lamented Zak Geiger.

“If this is not reason to support local business and buy from your local florist directly I don’t know what is,” Colleen Anguish suggested.
