Carlos Museum benefit “Veneralia” is this Friday

Will you be free and in a festive mood Friday night? Veneralia, the chief annual fundraiser for the Michael C. Carlos Museum on the Emory University campus, starts at 7 p.m. at Imperial Fez, 2285 Peachtree Road, Atlanta. The attire is “festive.”

The event, chaired by Rebecca and Sidney Yarbrough III with patron chairs Reid Mizell and Bernard van der Lande and honorary chairs Sally and Jim Morgens, will feature a Moroccan dinner, traditional Arabic musicians, belly dancing and fire dancing. Acclaimed local art dealer and appraiser Spalding Nix will host the live auction. Afterward, DJ Kemit will preside during the after-party.
