Channel 2 Action News anchor Jovita Moore, anchor emeritus Monica Pearson and B98.5 FM morning host Melissa Carter are among the Atlanta area broadcasters lending their talents to a great cause this Sunday.
This fashion show emphasizes health and to be proud of the skin you are in,” said Pearson, now a host on KISS 104.1 FM, who will emcee the event. “We come in different shapes and sizes and should be loved for what emanates from the inside: love, integrity, intellect, caring and sharing. We should be not too skinny, not too plump but just right for our height and age and body build.”
Moore and Carter, along with Kicks 101.5 FM host Jenn Hobby, HGTV’s Vern Yip, WXIA’s Christine Pullara and longtime local television personality Stacey Elgin, will model.
“I look forward to being part of this special event with my media colleagues, but I also have the feeling that my 6-month-old , Mr. Carter, will make everyone forget I’m even there,” Carter said.
General admission tickets are $50. VIP tickets, which include reserved runway seats, a gift bag and post-event reception, are $100. See mannafund.org for full details.
