Jon Hamm has been in Atlanta for a while now filming “Keeping Up With the Joneses,” a buddy comedy with Zach Galifianakis.
Jon’s no stranger to Atlanta, having worked on “Million Dollar Arm” here a few years ago, and has popped up here and there since arriving for his current project.
A colleague tells me he was among the celeb guests cheering the Atlanta Hawks to a thrilling victory over the Wizards on Wednesday night. So were members of the “Captain America: Civil War” cast. That movie is filming in Atlanta at the moment as well.
My friend Patrick Saunders, deputy editor at Georgia Voice, saw Jon Saturday at the Starbucks at Atlantic Station:
“I was standing on the corner of 17th and State Street waiting to cross when I heard a familiar voice behind me, turned and it was Don Draper himself, carrying a cup of coffee and walking by with a friend,” Patrick told me. “They jumped into a white Escalade or similar SUV that was waiting for them and drove off.”
Jon previously popped into Corso Coffee at Buckhead Atlanta, where he’s shown above getting a cup of joe to go (in his own thermos, by the way).
“Joneses” has filmed in Peachtree City, off Defoor Avenue, the Dupont Commons community in west Midtown, and a downtown Atlanta hotel.
