Adam Sandler-David Spade comedy to film in Savannah

Adam Sandler earned a slew of dubious accolades after he filmed his dreadful flop “Blended” in Atlanta. He sparked controversy when eight Native American actors walked off the set of his satirical Western “The Ridiculous Six” over complaints about offensive names and religious scenes.

Now the actor who proved he can master sophisticated humor but often chooses not to, will now set up shop in Savannah. The hopefully titled “Do Over” co-stars David Spade.

I’m not seeing an imdb synopsis yet for “Do Over” but I am seeing some casting calls for extras, including one involving “nude photo doubling of a principal actor and simulated sexual situations.”

Remember when Adam Sandler committed smart and funny performances?

Sandler’s rom com (actually make that bomb-com) “Blended” co-starred Drew Barrymore and earned a number of nominations for Razzies, the outfit that salutes the worst of the worst in cinema each year.

Here’s hoping “Do Over” is, somehow, better.
