Tyler Perry, a stalwart friend to the Houston-Brown family at the time of Whitney Houston’s death, throughout her daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown’s hospitalization and then her death, has posted a tribute video in her honor.
“The Houston estate asked if I would share this tribute that I put together for Bobbi Kristina’s private funeral,” he wrote.”On behalf of the Brown and Houston families, we would all like to thank you for your prayers and support. God bless.”
Bobbi Kristina was 22, and was apparently on the cusp of launching a music career when a Jan. 31 medical emergency sent her to the hospital.
“It is hard to say goodbye. On Sunday, July 26, Bobbi Kristina Brown made her transition peacefully. The family thanks everyone for their loving thoughts and prayers,” the family announced. “As Bobbi Kristina would say: “The wind is behind me and the sun is in my face.”
Perry was among the friends and relatives who made visits to Bobbi Kristina’s bedside first at the hospital and then at the hospice where she spent her final days.
