Bobbi Kristina Brown “smoked marijuana, she probably smoked crack often, and also did heroin,” her friend and former roommate Danyela Bradley stated in a deposition stemming from a lawsuit filed against Bobbi Kristina before she died.
The lawsuit, filed in June by Russell J. Eckerman of Marietta, says Bobbi Kristina was driving a 2005 Jeep Liberty that collided with his Ford Taurus at Holcomb Bridge Road and Martins Landing Drive in north Fulton County on Jan 27. On Jan. 31, Bobbi Kristina was discovered unresponsive in a bathtub and was hospitalized, then in hospice care, until her death on July 26 at age 22.
In the deposition, ET reported, Bradley said Bobbi Kristina’s would get “very sleepy, nod off” and “kind of keep to herself” when she did heroin, and would “just be not even talkative” when she did crack.
At the time of her Jan. 31 medical emergency Bobbi Kristina faced arrest on an unrelated traffic matter. An Alpharetta Municipal Court bench warrant stemming from failure to appear on a charge of driving with an expired tag registration had been issued at the time, but Alpharetta authorities have dismissed the matter given her dire condition.
The new allegations may be of interest to Nick Gordon’s legal team, given pending litigation he faces.
Bobbi Kristina’s court-appointed conservator initially filed suit against her companion Gordon in June, while Bobbi Kristina remained hospitalized. The suit was amended after Bobbi Kristina died, detailing a slew of new claims, including physical harm and financial impropriety.
Nick’s legal team has now responded seeking a dismissal on numerous grounds – namely that the suit against him lists damning allegations but no police reports, affidavits or other backing evidence.
“The recent lawsuit against Nick is slanderous and meritless,” his representatives said in a statement. “Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love and it’s shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly. Nick has engaged civil counsel and intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously and expose it for what it is: a fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most.”
Nick’s Twitter feed features a loving photo of him and Bobbi Kristina as his profile photo and he has posted messages about her in recent days: “When you would do anything in the world to spend 5 min with her again….” and “Can’t run from the pain go towards it. Somethings can’t be explained what caused it. When I lost you I lost it.
He also retweeted messages she posted around Christmastime last year, the month before she was discovered unresponsive in a bathtub:
Earlier this month, new documents in the suit filed against Nick claim that she was hospitalized Jan. 31 “after he injected her with a toxic mixture.” Previously filed court documents had claimed Nick “gave Bobbi Kristina a toxic cocktail rendering her unconscious and then put her face-down in a tub of cold water causing her to suffer brain damage.”
Then as before there were no police reports, toxicology reports, photos, affidavits, indictments or witness statements backing up the claims. The latest filing on Bobbi Kristina’s behalf includes numerous media reports listed as exhibits.
The newly filed documents also scolded Nick for “pandering” to the press and suggests he may be shopping for a book deal. A few days later, a publishing house announced its book deal with Bobbi Kristina’s father, singer Bobby Brown.
