“Powers,” a PlayStation streaming series about detectives who investigate cases involving people with superhuman abilities, referred to as “Powers,” will film on Buford Highway between Chamblee Tucker Road and Chamblee Dunwoody Road, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday.
The Georgia Department of Transportation says this will “require the closure of the southbound curb lane. Intermittent traffic control will be conducted along the rest of the roadway for northbound and southbound traffic. Only one lane of southbound traffic will be closed. DeKalb County and Chamblee police personnel will be on site to direct traffic during this time.”
“Powers” follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley) and Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward) who chase down“Powers” cases. “Set amidst today’s paparazzi culture, ‘Powers’ asks the questions, what if the world was full of superheroes who aren’t actually heroic at all? What if all that power was just one more excuse for mischief, mayhem, murder, and endorsement deals?”
