Stanley Tucci, who appeared in all four films in “The Hunger Games” series, struck a wistful note on the eve of the “Mockingjay part 2″ release.
“I’m sad for it to come to an end,” he said during a phone interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “It’s one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.”
Like “Catching Fire” and “Mockingjay part 1,” the series finale was filmed largely in Atlanta. The Swan House is once again featured prominently on screen.
Tucci, also appearing now in the superb “Spotlight,” plays smarmy Capitol mouthpiece Caesar Flickerman in the four “Hunger Games” movie.
“They’re important movies,” he said. “There’s real depth to them. Wonderful actors and director. I’m very sad it’s over.”
But he’ll always have Atlanta.
“One of my favorite steakhouses is there, Bones,” he said. “My God. The last time I went down, as soon as I got off the plane I went there. It’s so good!”
