James Anthony Calder’s 67th birthday was his last but it might have been his best, thanks to some big-hearted members of the “Seinfeld” cast and his devoted and creative son.

Mr. Calder actually passed away a few days shy of turning 67, but not before his son, James Calder compiled the most memorable birthday “card” ever. Via social media he and his wife started assembling video messages for his dad, who was stricken with non-smoking lung cancer. After gathering messages from friends they struck on the idea of reaching out to the former “Seinfeld” cast members.

The one Matt McCoy did in character as overachieving Lloyd Braun is awesome:

Helloooooo…. Wayne Knight. The actor jumped back into his character as the venal postman Newman with both feet.

“I was told there’d be cake,” he deadpanned:

Danny Woodburn steps into his role as Mickey Abbot. He suggests a birthday present that may bring an episode to mind:

Patrick Warburton seemed to have a lot of fun reliving his role as the dunce David Puddy:

What’s the deal with Kenny Bania?

The “Soup Nazi” had a stern birthday greeting: either have fun or NO CAKE FOR YOU!

Julia Louis-Dreyfus did not get back into character as Elaine but had some sweet comments to share:

The younger Calder wrote in a Huffington Post essay how moved he and his family were at all the actors’ participation.

“We never dreamed we would be able to get in touch with any of the top four lead actors on the show, let alone some of the actors who played supporting yet legendary characters,” he said. “Some of the cast members not only made videos with great birthday messages but they were creative, thoughtful and sincere. These wonderful people helped to honor and celebrate my father’s birthday and provided a much needed distraction during an extremely difficult time for my family. Their kindness and compassion has humbled us to our core.”
