The entire Internet seems to be talking about Steve Harvey following Sunday night’s massive Miss Universe mixup but here are a few things you might not know about him.

His college roommates moved out because he is black.

One roommate, now an attorney Harvey says he remains friends with, responded: “I just don’t know how to live with a black person…but he said, ‘can we still be friends?’ I said, ‘For sure.’ I learned a valuable lesson from them guys and I think they learned something from me. You know what I did? I forgave them.”

He grew up working on his family’s farm.

“Ever since I was 9.. every summer I had to work the farm: slopping hogs, feeding chickens, baling hay, watering mules. We ate everything in the back yard, never went to the store. It did create a work ethic in me. I’m not afraid of hard work.”

His mom would have been 101 this year. When a 100-year-old guest visited his show he treated her like a queen and said, “I love you!

He sat down with Patti LaBelle and her famous fan James Wright for a nibble of the famous “Patti Pie.” Check out his lively reaction! 

He does the most hilarious “church lady” voice you have ever heard.

He and Rickey Smiley made some kind of joyful noise sending up church announcements on a recent episode of Harveys’ talk show.
