Charlie Sheen on HIV: “If there’s a cure out there, I will find it”

Now that Charlie Sheen has made his HIV+ status public he is determined to find a cure and share it with the world.

“This disease picked the wrong guy. If anybody can fight this thing and discover a cure, it’s me,” he said during an interview with the National Enquirer.

Sheen struck an upbeat, positive note during the interview.

” I’m gonna continue to meet with the top experts in the field and continue to surround myself with bigger brains than mine,” he said.”I am in a rare position to turn my diagnosis into a positive, and that began with telling my truth to Matt Lauer, and now I’m talking to you and The National Enquirer so that I can reach your audience with my story and continue to shine a light on this disease while brilliant scientists continue to search for a cure.”
