Prince’s body has been returned to his family as authorities continue their investigation into the singer’s cause of death.

Investigators found no signs of trauma, and suicide is not suspected, Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson said during a news conference.

Official details remain scant amid tabloid speculation that drugs were involved. TMZ, which was first with news that Prince made an emergency landing after his Atlanta concerts last week, and was first again with news of his death, has posted a report quoting sources who say Prince suffered a Percocet overdose days before his death.

The official news release from the Carver County Sheriff’s Office says only that “(S)heriff’s deputies responded to a medical call at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen. When deputies and medical personnel arrived, they found an unresponsive adult male in the elevator. First responders attempted to provide lifesaving CPR, but were unable to revive the victim. He was pronounced deceased at 10:07 am. He has been identified as Prince Rogers Nelson (57) of Chanhassen. The Carver County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.”
