Part of the reason Tyler Perry took on the role as a mad scientist in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows” is so his son can see him in the movies.
Since little Aman Tyler Bekele-Perry isn’t quite 2, it’ll be a while before he can see his dad in R-rated “Gone Girl,” so Perry wanted him to have some options.
“I want my son to see me doing something other than Madea,” Perry said during a visit to “The View.”

He said his son, whose mom is Perry’s girlfriend Gelila Bekele, is his “healer.”
“This kid’s amazing,” he said. “Every time I look at him, I’m able to give him all the love I didn’t get as a kid.”
TMNT opens June 3. The next “Madea” installation, “Boo! A Madea Halloween,” rolls out this fall. He posted this terrifying photo from the set.
“It is the funniest thing I’ve ever done,” Perry promised. Check out these photos showing him getting into character for that movie.
