The “Stranger Things” trailer will have you counting the days until Halloween

Actually, you only have to count down to Oct. 27. That’s when the second season of Atlanta-filmed “Stranger Things” – up for 18 Emmys – rolls out.

(Good move, Netflix – we’d all be so busy binge-watching that no one would answer the door for trick or treaters if Oct. 31 was the air date).

Malaysia bans Justin Bieber “Despacito” remix, citing offense to Islam

Justin Bieber’s remix of “Despacito,” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, propelled the infectious hit to global dominance as the most streamed track of all time: 4.6 billion plays and counting.

But Malaysia’s officially not having it. State-run television and radio stations yanked the track after officials said people were complaining about the song’s racy lyrics.

HBO plans alt-history series “Confederate,” where the South succeeds

HBO plans to launch “Confederate,” a series set in some alternate universe where the South successfully secedes from the Union and stays there, “giving rise to a nation in which slavery remains legal and has evolved into a modern institution,” Deadline reports.
