KKK subjects say they were paid to stage scenes for A&E show

Subjects who were to be featured in a now-scrapped A&E series about the KKK say producers paid them to stage scenes, cajoled them into using racial epithets, encouraged them to misrepresent their identities and even purchased the material to construct crosses to burn, Variety reports.

Bremen High School teacher Jessica Pruitt Labbe posted this beautiful video of talented students riding out Wednesday’s storms by singing a modern Christmas hymn.

UPDATE: The Bremen High School students shown in the video will perform “Mary, Did You Know?” for Mark Lowry, the song’s co-writer, while he’s in town for a performance scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday. Rambo McGuire and Stan Whitmire will perform as well.

A $36 million judgment in the Bobbi Kristina wrongful death lawsuit

Two months after Nick Gordon was found “legally responsible” in connection to the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown last year, Fulton County Superior Court Judge T. Jackson Bedford has entered a judgment following the civil suit filed by Bobbi Kristina’s estate against the man she often called her “husband.”

The court has entered a judgment of more than $36 million in damages; the lawsuit sought $50 million.
